Tbilisi will stage WSOP Circuit in March 2016

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) and the largest online poker operator Adjarabet.com in Georgia have decided to join forces and hold the festival WSOP Circuit from March 3 through March 9 2016.

In the release, the company announced that the first WSOP Circuit Festival in Eastern Europe will be held in the Tbilisi Sports Palace – the largest indoor arena in the capital of Georgia. According to the organizers, 19 tournaments of the festival are in the schedule, and in 7 of them the famous rings of WSOP Circuit will be awarded. The total guaranteed prize pool will be $ 700,000 and it will be a record in the history of poker competitions in the region.

In addition to the previously announced Jonathan Duhamel, Dzmitry Urbanovich and Steve O’Dwyer will arrive in Tbilisi. The appearance of these two players is a good surprise after their recent achievements in the live circuit. Urbanovich topped the field of the EPT Season 12 Dublin Main Event and O’Dwyer has been ranking 1st in the GPI leaderboard for 6 weeks now. Melbourne Poker Championship Aussie Millions ended recently, and the victor of the most expensive series of Event – $ 250k Challenge for a top prize of A$1,051,959 was none other than Steve O’Dwyer, who won less than a month ago $ 50k One Day High Roller for a first-place prize of $945,495 at the PCA. He also was the 4th in two other high roller events – the inaugural WPT National Philippines $200,000 Triton Super High Roller Series for a payout of $953,700, and the Aussie Millions Poker Championship A$25,000 Challenge for A$263,520.

Dominik Panka, Daniel Cates, Mateusz Dziewoński, Marcin Wydrowski, and many others will attend the event alongside with O’Dwyer and Urbanovich.

The central event of the program will be the Main Event with a buy-in of $ 1,000 + $ 100, and a guaranteed prize pool of $300,000, which will be held from March 6-9. In addition, the best player in the series and the winner of the Main Event will get a pleasant bonus – a trip to the Final WSOP Global Casino Championship. Also, Adjarabet Championship with a buy-in of $ 300 + $ 30 (March 4-6) and a guaranteed prize pool of $ 100,000 and the opening tournament of WSOP Warm-Up with a guarantee prize pool of $ 30,000, for the part of which is possible to compete by making a modest sum of $ 100 + 10, will not be deprived of participants’ and spectators’ attention.

The schedule of the series also includes the competition of High Rollers with the buy-in $ 2,000 + $ 200, and a guarantee pool of $ 50,000, scheduled on March 8; Low Roller tournament with the buy-in of $ 30 and a guaranteed prize pool of $ 15,000 (March 3), as well as a two-day pot-limit Omaha tournament with the buy-in of $ 200 and a guaranteed pool of $ 15,000 (March 5-6).
