It’s time to say goodbye to one more great to live tournament poker year. 2017 can boast of increased attendance, enlarged prize pools and wider range of poker at festivals worldwide.

The previous year was also rather favourable to PokerStars, one of the leaders in online poker entertainments and the sponsor of many popular live tournaments. They offered their new Championships and Festival series, which became the successors of their EUREKA, LAPT, EPT and some others. They took place in a variety of cities around the world and a number of professional poker players took part in them.

These Championships had a rather high buy-in, but the prizes were also significant. Here is just a list of 5 poker players who can boast of the highest prizes won in PokerStars’ Championship series.

Bryn Kenney – $4,507,305

Bryn Kenny is a famous name in live tournament poker. He is an owner of numerous titles and his poker bankroll comprises $20.4 million. Last year, he succeeded to earn more than $4.5 million in PokerStars Championship.

Bryn Kenny started the game this year at the PokerStars Championship Bahamas very bravely. He won two events – $ 50,000 and $25,000 – at once. He also visited four final tables, having won almost a half million dollars in total.

Then, during the year, he got another 18 times in money in various poker series. And four times he was able to get more than half a million dollars in prize money.

Daniel Dvoress – $3,007,629

Daniel succeeded this year mainly thanks to PokerStars Championship tournaments. He won in the Chech Republic, Monaco, Macau, Panama and the Bahamas. But his largest earning occurred in 2017 at a Championship festival. He was the third in the Monte Carlo €100,00 Super High Roller and got €832,800.

In the Bahamas $100,000 Super High Roller he was the fourth and received $576,300. He was also the second in the Panama $50,000 Super High Roller.

Steve O’Dwyer – $2,482,748

Steve O’Dwyer is one of the best high rollers. He is a successful tournament fighter both in the online world and at live tables, where he already managed to win solid money – more than $2.4 million.

At the PokerStars Championship in Macau, at the final table of HK $ 400,000 Super High Roller, O’Doyer received HK $ 8,460,830. At the PokerStars Championship in the Panama $10,300, he also became the first. As a result, O’Dwyer won $ 240,451.

Stephen Chidwick – $2,048,058
